It would appear that the latest Harry Potter installment—Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows—has been leaked to the riotous world of BitTorrent as of today, surely leaving more than a few anxious fans worried at how fast the spoilers will begin to appear online. With all the millions spent on securing the title from prying eyes until release, it should still surprise no one that someone figured out a way to circumvent the system. Crudely cobbled shots from a digital camera of every page are beginning to appear online by the hour.
If it’s one thing the anti-Potter brigade can count on, it’s that thousands of readers will collectively and inevitably stop browsing the web now—until they finish the book, at least—in order to avoid the spoiler brigades that are bound to flood the tubes.
(No spoilers here, though, as the comments are turned off for this entry.)

Last week, looking around for a copy of the MST3K Amazing Colossal Episode Guide to secure my place as a connoisseur of the obscure movie reference, I managed to find a copy being sold by a Goodwill in Tacoma through Amazon—signed by the cast—for a “competitively-priced” $6.07. It goes without saying (though I find myself saying it) that I snapped it up immediately.
Really, you’d think that for being a fan for over a decade and a half now, I would have picked this book up long ago. Sometimes good things really do come to those who wait. Or, more than likely, I’m just being rewarded for my laziness.
